Tennis Ball Collision Here's a video of a collision of a tennis ball with a wall at high velocity. The tennis ball almost compresses to a flat circle, because it is hollow inside, allowing for more room to compress. The leaving speed is a little slower than the incoming speed, because while tennis balls bounce, they are not as elastic as bouncy balls. For this video, a framerate of 2000 frames/sec was used. The shutter speed used was 10X, or 1/20000th of a second. |
